The owners of a Toyota Corolla contacted the West Jordan Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen.  The police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

Just minutes later the first of at least two officers with the Unified Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, officers tracked the Toyota to a parking lot near the intersection of 200 East and 8600 South.  The Toyota was unoccupied.

The Corolla was returned to a very surprised and thankful owner on-scene.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota Corolla in October 2000 at Don McGill Toyota in Houston, Texas.
