The owner of a 2005 Toyota Tacoma contacted the Tyrone, Oklahoma, Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from a residence in Tyrone.

The Tyrone PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activates the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

A short while later deputies with the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) installed in patrol cars and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the LoJack PTC the deputies were able to quickly track the signal to a residence in Oklahoma City. Upon making contact with occupants at the residence, deputies were able to obtain suspect information.  Charges will be submitted to the District Attorney’s Office.  When recovered the Toyota was in good condition, undamaged and will be returned to the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in this Toyota Tacoma in May 2005 at Champion Toyota in Houston, TX.
