The owners of a 2011 Volvo C-70 contacted the Baltimore City Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their home in the 500 block Woodlawn Road in the Roland Park area of Baltimore City, Maryland.

The Baltimore City PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Volvo C-70.

A short while later officers from the Baltimore City PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen  Volvo C-70 with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Volvo to the 400 block N. Linwood Avenue in Baltimore City. At that location, officers observed the Volvo being operated by the theft suspect. Officers stopped the Volvo and placed the theft suspect under arrest. Officers recovered the undamaged Volvo and notified the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2011 Volvo C-70 during April 2010 at Koon’s Volvo in Owings Mills, Maryland.
