The owners of a 2005 Toyota Corolla contacted the Anne Arundel County Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from the intersection of Burns Crossing Road and Route 32 in the Gambrills area of Anne Arundel County, Maryland.

The Anne Arundel County PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota Corolla.

A short while later officers from the Anne Arundel County PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota Corolla with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Toyota to the area of Route 32 and Interstate 97 in the Millersville area of Anne Arundel County. At that location, detectives observed the Toyota parked and unoccupied. Officers recovered the undamaged Toyota and notified the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota Corolla during September 2004 at Browns Toyota City in Glen Burnie, Maryland.
