The owner of a 2012 Chevrolet Traverse went outside of the residence and discovered their vehicle was missing.  The owner contacted the Albuquerque Police Department to report the Chevrolet was stolen.

The Albuquerque PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chevrolet.

Within a short time of the activation, officers with the Albuquerque PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Chevrolet with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the audible and directional cues from the PTC, the officers observed the stolen Chevrolet occupied by a female driver and a male passenger.  The stolen Chevrolet attempted to elude the ground officers but unbeknownst to the offenders the Albuquerque PD Air Support Unit, Air-5, maintained surveillance.  Officers and Auto Theft Detectives did recover the stolen Chevrolet and took both repeat offender subjects into custody.

The Chevrolet Traverse was released to the owner at the recovery scene.
