The owners of a 2013 Lincoln Welder contacted the Houston Police Department to report that their business had been broken into sometime during the night and a 2013 trailered Lincoln Welder had been stolen from the lot.

The Houston PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Lincoln Welder.

A short while later officers from the Houston PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Lincoln Welder with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the welder to the intersection of Navigation and Clinton Drive. Officers located the welder in the back yard behind a residence near the intersection. Officers questioned the person in charge of the property who stated his boss had the welder and was trying to sell it. Officers seized the trailer along with a “Bar-B-Que” trailer. Officers are viewing video from the business location and are securing arrest warrants for the property owner.
