The owners of a 2004 Honda Odyssey contacted the Baltimore County Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from the 7000 block Liberty Road in the Gwynn Oak area of Baltimore County, Maryland. At the time of theft, the Honda had been left unattended with the keys in the ignition and the engine running.

The Baltimore County PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2004 Honda Odyssey.

A short while later detectives in the Regional Auto Theft Team picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen 2004 Honda Odyssey with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the detectives tracked the Honda to the 1300 block N. Hilton Street in Baltimore City. At that location, detectives observed the Honda being operated by the theft suspect.  Detectives were able to stop the stolen Honda Odyssey and arrest the operator. The undamaged Honda was recovered and the owner notified by detectives.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2004 Honda Odyssey during March 2004 at Yonkers Honda in Yonkers, New York
