This Chevrolet Tahoe was stolen from the owner’s apartment complex on South 156th Street in Burien.

The theft was reported to the King County Sheriff’s Office who verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Tahoe.

Less than one hour after activating the LoJack, a Washington State Trooper picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Tahoe on the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following directional and audible cues from the PTC, the Tahoe was located in the 3600 block of South 272nd Street near Kent.

The Tahoe was abandoned and did not appear to be damaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Chevrolet Tahoe in March of 2006 at Burien Chevrolet in Burien, Washington.
