The owners of a 2006 Toyota Tundra contacted the San Antonio Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their residential driveway by someone that had entered the home and taken the keys while they were away.

The San Antonio PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota Tundra.

A short while later officers from the San Antonio PD helicopters picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  The air crew alerted patrol officers and directed them to the area of the signal. Patrol officers and auto theft officers observed the Tundra traveling on a public roadway and performed a felony stop of the vehicle. The driver was arrested without incident.  The Tundra was recovered in good condition and returned to the grateful owner.  The driver was charged with felony Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota Tundra in January 2006 at Champion Toyota, Gulf Freeway, Houston, Texas.
