The owners of a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro contacted the Houston Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen at gunpoint in their apartment parking lot on Westpark  by two subjects as they were about to enter their vehicle. The subjects demanded the keys and their personal items. The subjects were last seen leaving the apartment complex.

The Houston PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chevrolet Camaro.

A short while later officers from the Houston Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Camaro with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Chevrolet to an apartment complex where the vehicle was parked and abandoned in the parking lot. The Chevrolet appeared to be in good condition with no visual damage.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Chevrolet Camaro at Ron Craft Chevrolet in Baytown, Texas.
