The owners of a 2009 Nissan Altima contacted the Linden Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from in front of their home in Linden.

The Linden PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2009 Nissan Altima.

A short while later officers from the Union County Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Nissan with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Nissan to a shopping mall in the City of Elizabeth where the vehicle was recovered parked and undamaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2009 Nissan Altima in June of 2009 at Hudson Nissan in Jersey City, New Jersey.
