The owners of a Mitsubishi Gallant contacted the Fort Collins Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen.  An officer verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Mitsubishi.

Just minutes later a Corporal with the Colorado State University Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Mitsubishi with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the Corporal quickly and easily tracked the Mitsubishi to an address on Coy Drive.

The Mitsubishi was located undamaged and returned to the very happy owners in less than one hour.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Mitsubishi Gallant in August 2002 at O’Meara Ford Center in Northglenn, CO.
