This Ford E250 van was stolen from a commercial business in Kent sometime during the weekend.  The business is located on South 180th Street.  The theft was reported to the Kent Police Department.  The report was verified and they entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford van.

Just seven minutes after activating the LoJack, a Washington State Patrol Cessna picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford E250 on the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  He advised troopers on the ground, also equipped with PTCs, who tracked it to the 5200 block of South 292nd Street near Auburn.

Suspects were interviewed by the Auburn PD officers but no solid information was obtained as a result.  The investigation is continuing.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford E250 in December of 2005 at Bowen Scarff Ford in Kent, Washington.

This is the sixth time this van has been stolen since 2006.   It was recovered by police using LoJack technology in all cases.
