The owner of a 2011 Honda CRV contacted the Metro Nashville Police Department in Nashville, Tennessee, to report that their vehicle was stolen from their residence in Nashville.

The Metro Nashville PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2011 Honda CRV.

Later on that same day a Metro Nashville PD officer while on routine patrol picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen 2011 Honda CRV with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officer tracked the Honda to a commercial area of the city. At the time it was located, the Honda was unoccupied.

The Honda CRV was impounded at the scene and transported to the Metro Nashville Police Impound Lot to be processed for latent prints and/or physical evidence and further investigation.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2011 Honda CRV at Honda Mall of GA in October 2010.
