The owner of a 2010 Ford F-250 XL contacted the Baltimore City Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from the 1600 block Parkman Avenue in the Hamilton area of Baltimore City, Maryland.

The Baltimore City PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford.

A short while later officers in the Howard County Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Ford to the 7900 block Dorsey Road in the Laurel area of Howard County. At that location, officers observed the Ford parked and unoccupied. Officers recovered the stolen Ford and notified the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2010 Ford F-250 XL during April 2010 at Apple Ford in Columbia, Maryland.
