The owners of a Mitsubishi Eclipse contacted the Greeley Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen.  The investigating police officer verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Eclipse.

A short while later officers with the Greeley PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Mitsubishi with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Eclipse to the 600 block of 42nd Avenue where they found the vehicle unoccupied.  Evidence was collected from the Eclipse and the case remains under investigation.

The Eclipse was quickly recovered and secured for return to the owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Mitsubishi in September 2007 via Colorado Direct Sales.
