The owners of a 2009 Subaru Impreza WRX contacted the Englewood Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from in front of their home.

The investigating police officer verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Subaru.

Ten-minutes later officers with the Greenwood Village, Englewood and Sheridan PD’s began picking up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Impreza with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, officers with the Sheridan and Englewood PD tracked the Impreza to an apartment house parking lot in the general area of West Quincy and South Lowell Blvd.

The Impreza was parked and not occupied when officers arrived. It was safely recovered with no apparent damage and in less than one-hour, for a quick return to the very surprised and happy owners.
