The owner of a 2010 Dodge Charger 4 door contacted the United States Park Police Department in Washington, DC, to report that their vehicle was stolen from the 400 block W. Basin Drive SW.

The United States Park Police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Dodge.

A short while later officers from the United States Park Police in Washington, DC, picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Dodge with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Dodge to the intersection of 12th Street NE and Franklin Street in Washington, DC. At that location, officers observed the Dodge parked and unoccupied. Officers recovered the Dodge and contacted the owner who responded to the scene and took possession of his Dodge.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2010 Dodge Charger during September 2010, at Crowley Dodge in Bristol, Connecticut.
