The owners of a 2013 Ford F150 pickup contacted the Houston Police Department to report that sometime during the day while they were away at work their home was burglarized.  Their Ford pickup was stolen from the garage with the spare keys that were in the home at the time of the burglary.

The Houston PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford pickup.

Less than thirty (30) minutes later, officers from the Houston PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen pickup with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Ford to the 9400 block of Concourse where the Ford was parked and abandoned. Several of the stolen items from the home burglary remained in the rear seat of the pickup. The owner came to the location and took possession of the vehicle and contents.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2013 Ford F150 pickup in May 2013 at Lone Star Ford in Houston, Texas.
