The owner of a 2001 Honda Accord contacted the Albuquerque Police Department to report that their Honda was stolen.  The Albuquerque PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

Within 40 minutes of the activation, the Albuquerque PD officers picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda in the Northeast Area Command with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the audible and directional cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Honda to a tow yard.
