The owners of a 2006 Honda CRV contacted the Vallejo Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen. The victim returned home and discovered the Honda was stolen from inside the victim’s garage when the residence was burglarized.

The Vallejo PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

Just hours later officers from the Solano County Auto Theft Task Force picked up the silent LoJack® signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Honda to the area of Springs and Shasta Streets in Vallejo. They observed the Honda parked to the rear of an apartment complex unattended. The officers set up surveillance of the Honda in hopes the thief would return. After several hours and no activity the officers approached the Honda and processed it for finger prints and then released it to the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda CRV in March 2006 at Avery Greene Motors in Vallejo, California.
