The owners of a 2014 Toyota Avalon contacted the Clayton County Police Department to report that his vehicle had been taken during the night from his home.

The Clayton County PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

Within a short time of the LoJack activation a Clayton County PD officer equipped with a LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) began to pick up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota with the PTC that was installed in the police car.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the police officer tracked the stolen Toyota to an old building where it was found abandoned.

After a check of the area, the Toyota was towed by the officers to the impound lot for further investigation by a detective.

The owner had a LoJack unit installed at the dealership when he purchased it from Atlanta Toyota.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota in October 2014 at Atlanta Toyota-Gwinnett.
