The owners of a 2008 Nissan Titan contacted the Phoenix Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen from their residence.

The police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Nissan.

A short while later, the police helicopter and officers from the Phoenix PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Nissan with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Nissan to a neighborhood near 21st Avenue and Northern Avenue in Phoenix.

The Nissan Titan was observed backed in to a driveway of a residence in this neighborhood.  The police contacted the occupants at the residence and conducted interviews.  The police investigation revealed that the Nissan was taken by a family member without permission.  The stolen Nissan Titan was recovered and returned to the owners in good condition.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Nissan Titan in June 2007 at ABC Nissan in Phoenix, Arizona.
