LoJack® System Helps Phoenix Police Department Recover Stolen Nissan Murano

The owners of a 2006 Nissan Murano contacted the Phoenix Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from the driveway of their residence.
The police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Nissan.
Eighteen minutes later, deputies from the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Nissan with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputies tracked the Nissan to a business parking lot near 43rd Avenue and Elwood Street in Phoenix.
The deputies found the Nissan unoccupied in the parking lot. The Phoenix PD was contacted and responded to the scene to take disposition of the recovery. The Nissan was processed for evidence and later returned to the owners in good condition.
The LoJack® System was installed in the Nissan Murano in June 2006 at ABC Nissan in Phoenix, Arizona.
