The owner of a 2007 Toyota Yaris contacted the Baltimore City Police Department in Baltimore, Maryland, to report that their vehicle was stolen from their home in the 4300 block Groveland Avenue.

The Baltimore City PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2007 Toyota Yaris.

A short while later, officers from the Baltimore City PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen 2007 Toyota Yaris with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Toyota to the 4900 block Nelson Avenue in Baltimore City, Maryland. At that location, detectives observed the Toyota parked and unoccupied. The undamaged 2007 Toyota Yaris was returned to the owner after recovery.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2007 Toyota Yaris during July 2007 at Russell Toyota in Baltimore, Maryland.
