The owner of a 2003 Lexus ES300 4-door sedan discovered their vehicle missing from their apartment complex parking lot. They contacted the West Palm Beach Police Department to report their vehicle stolen. The West Palm Beach PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Lexus.

Later that afternoon, a Riviera Beach Police Department officer picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Lexus on their on-board LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC). The officer began tracking the stolen Lexus by following the directional and audible cues on their PTC screen. The officer, along with their backup, located the Lexus abandoned in the 1500 block of Blue Heron Boulevard with no apparent damage. The Lexus was recovered, towed to the police impound yard for safekeeping, and removed from federal and state crime computer systems.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2003 Lexus ES300 in October 2002 at Lexus of Palm Beach in Florida.
