The owner of the Toyota Sienna, a Licensed Livery Cab, parked in a mall parking lot and when he came back he found it missing. This was in Staten Island, New York, confines of the 120 precinct. He immediately called the police, when they arrived they took a written report. This information was then entered by the New York Police Department in the City, State, and Federal crime computer which automatically activated the LoJack® System in the stolen Toyota.

Within a short while of the activation, police officers from the Staten Island Auto Crime Unit picked up the silent LoJack signal on their onboard LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) that their vehicle was equipped with. This was in the Park Hill section of Staten Island, confines of the 120 Precinct. They tracked the Toyota through various streets in Staten Island, eventually locating the Toyota parked on a residential street. They staked the Toyota out for a short while, however when no one showed up for the vehicle they took it into custody. The Toyota was recovered in excellent condition with no damage on it. It was also equipped with a special Handy Cap ramp that also was not touched.

The owner was contacted and he was elated that his Toyota was recovered so quickly, especially with no damage. He further stated that he was happy that when he purchased the Toyota he purchased the LoJack system with the car.

The LoJack® System was installed on October 2014 at Plaza Toyota in Brooklyn, New York.
