The owner of a 2014 Chevrolet Sonic contacted the Albuquerque Police Department to report that their Chevrolet Sonic was stolen.  The Albuquerque PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chevrolet.

Within sixty minutes of the LoJack activation, a New Mexico State Police Officer picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Chevrolet with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the Chevrolet was tracked to the area of Juan Tabo and Lomas in Albuquerque.  The NMSP officer and an Albuquerque PD officer located the stolen Chevrolet abandoned at an apartment complex.  A Crime Scene Investigator arrived on scene to process the Chevrolet for evidence.  The Chevrolet will be returned to the happy owner.
