The owner of the Toyota Sequoia being it was a real cold day came out of her house to start her vehicle to warm it up. Unfortunately she left the Toyota unattended. She then went back inside for a minute, when she came out her Toyota was gone. This was in Staten Island New York, confines of the 121 precinct. She immediately called the New York Police Department of the 121 precinct, when the police arrived they took a written report. This information was then entered by the NYPD in the City, State, and Federal crime computer which automatically activated the LoJack® System in the stolen Toyota.

Within short while of the activation, police from the Port Authority Police Department assigned to the Bayonne Bridge picked up the silent LoJack signal on their onboard LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) that their vehicle was equipped with. This was in the Rosemont section of Staten Island, confines of the 121 Precinct. They tracked the Toyota through various streets in Staten Island, eventually locating the Toyota parked on a residential street. They staked the Toyota out for a short while, however when no one showed up for the vehicle they took it into custody. The Toyota was recovered in excellent condition, minus the keys.

The owner was contacted and she was elated that her Toyota was recovered so quickly, especially in good condition. She further stated that she was happy that when she purchased the Toyota it was equipped with the LoJack® System.

The LoJack® System was installed on November 2007 at Hudson Toyota Jersey City New Jersey.
