The owners of a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee contacted the New Orleans Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen overnight outside of a New Orleans Broadmoor area home.

The New Orleans PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Jeep.

Minutes later officers from Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office while driving across the Crescent City Connection Bridge picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Jeep with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Jeep into the uptown area of New Orleans.  The officers located the Jeep parked on the street in great shape.  As the result of this quick recovery by the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, the Jeep was returned to the happy owner in great shape.

The owner was very thankful that Ralph Sellers dealership recommended the installation of LoJack.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Jeep in December of 2005.
