The owners of a 2007 Lexus IS 250 contacted the Phoenix Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen.  The owner had left the vehicle running while they ran into the post office to drop off an item.  When they came back out, the Lexus was gone.

The Phoenix PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Lexus.

Thirty seven minutes later, officers from the Phoenix PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Lexus with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Lexus to an apartment complex near 20th Street and Camelback Road.

The Lexus was found unoccupied in the parking lot.  The Lexus was recovered and processed for evidence.  The Lexus was returned to the owners in good condition.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Lexus IS 250 in June 2007 at Sewell Lexus in Dallas, Texas.
