The owner of the Dodge Caravan parked his vehicle on the street where he lives. When he came out in the morning he found it missing, this was in the Ozone Park section of Queens, confines of the 106 precinct. He immediately called the police of the 106 precinct, when the police arrived they took a written report. This information was then entered by the NYPD in the City, State, and Federal crime computer which automatically activated the LoJack® System in the stolen Dodge.

Within a short while of the activation, police officers from Queens South Auto Larceny Unit picked up the silent LoJack signal on their onboard LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) that their vehicle was equipped with. This was in the Richmond Hill section of Queens, confines of the 102nd Precinct. They tracked the Dodge through various streets in Richmond Hill, eventually locating the Dodge parked on a residential street. They staked the Dodge out for a short while, however when no one showed up for the Dodge they took it into custody. The Dodge was recovered in good condition.

The owner was contacted and he was elated that his Dodge was recovered so quickly, especially in good condition. He further stated that he was happy that when he purchased the Dodge it was equipped with the LoJack® System.

The LoJack® System was installed in June 2007 at Enterprise in Rockville Center Long Island, New York.
