The owner of this Lexus was a victim of a “Home Invasion Robbery.”  The 80 year old female victim heard a door bell ring and did not answer.  As she turned around she observed a male suspect who grabbed her and eventually tied her up while he and another accomplice ransacked the home.  The victim’s Lexus was stolen from the garage. After the victim untied herself, she contacted the Tustin Police Department and reported the “Home Invasion Robbery” and that her Lexus had been stolen. The officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Lexus.

Within less than 4 minutes from the activation, officers from the Los Angeles Police Department Southeast Division assisted by LAPD Air Support picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Lexus with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Lexus to a residential street in the Southeast Division area and recovered the victim’s Lexus.  Three male subjects were detained and taken into custody.  Detectives from the Tustin PD responded and took custody of the subjects. Investigation was handled by the Tustin PD.

The LoJack® Stolen Vehicle Recovery System was installed in this Lexus in June 2006 at Longo Lexus.
