The owner of a 2006 Toyota Rav 4 contacted the Moore Oklahoma Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from the owner’s residence in Moore, Oklahoma.

The Moore Police Department verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activates the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

A short while later a pilot with the Oklahoma City Police Department Air Support Unit picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Tracking Computer (PTC) installed in patrol cars and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the LoJack computer the pilot and observer successfully tracked and located the stolen Toyota in the 9600 block of N. May Ave. in Oklahoma City.  The pilot notified the Oklahoma City PD ground units to assist in the recovery. The Toyota when located was unoccupied and partially stripped. The Toyota was impounded pending notification of the owner and further investigation.

The LoJack® Vehicle Recovery System was installed in this Toyota Rav 4 in February 2006 at Westbury Toyota in New York.
