The owner of a 2012 Toyota Corolla 4-door sedan contacted the Riviera Beach Police Department to report their vehicle stolen from their home. The responding officer prepared a stolen vehicle report, theft affidavit and had the vehicle’s information entered into the state and federal crime computers.

Later that evening, a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office deputy picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Corolla on their on-board LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC). The PTC enables law enforcement officers to track, locate and recover stolen vehicles quickly and safely. The deputy began tracking the stolen Corolla by following the directional and audible cues on their PTC screen. The deputy, along with their backup, located the Corolla abandoned in the 4100 block of Milner Circle, Lake Worth. The Corolla was recovered, towed to the police impound yard for safekeeping and removed from federal and state crime computer systems.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2012 Toyota Corolla 4-door sedan in December 2014 at Palm Beach Toyota in West Palm Beach, Florida.
