The owner of this Honda Civic contacted the Alhambra Police Department and reported that vehicle had been stolen. The officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

Within less than 15 minutes from the activation, flight deputies from Los Angeles Sheriff’s (Air-7) picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the flight deputies tracked the Honda from Eastern Ave and Alhambra into Los Angeles and advised ground units from the Hollenbeck division of the following.  The flight deputies directed the LAPD units to Navarro and Linda Terrace where officers observed the Honda and affected a felony traffic stop.  The suspect was taken into custody without further incident and later booked for PC 487(d) 1 Grand Theft Auto and later released to Alhambra PD for follow up investigation.

The LoJack® Stolen Vehicle Recovery System was installed in this Honda in November 1999 at Norm Reeves Honda Super Store.
