The owner of a 2008 Honda Civic 4 Door contacted the Baltimore County Police Department in Baltimore County, Maryland, to report that their vehicle was stolen from their home while it was sitting in the driveway unattended with the engine running and keys in the ignition in the 3400 block Flannery Lane in the Woodlawn area of Baltimore County.

The Baltimore County PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

A short while later detectives from the Regional Auto Theft Team picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the detectives tracked the Honda to a garage in the 2800 block of Clifton Avenue in Baltimore City. At that location, detectives located this stolen Honda Civic along with another stolen 2011 Honda Accord 4 door. Investigation found that the second non-LoJack equipped vehicle had been stolen from the 2700 block Rosedale Street in Baltimore City while it was also left unattended with the keys in the ignition and the engine running. Both undamaged Hondas were recovered by detectives and the owners notified.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2008 Honda Civic during January 2008 at Lia Honda of Northampton in Northampton, Massachusetts.
