The owner of a 2011 Honda Accord Crosstour contacted the Baltimore City Police Department in Baltimore, Maryland, to report that their vehicle was stolen from in front of their home during an armed carjacking in the 1500 block Havenwood Road in the Montebello neighborhood.

The Baltimore City PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2011 Honda Accord Crosstour.

A short while later detectives from the Regional Auto Theft Team picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda Accord Crosstour with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Honda to the rear alley behind 3600 block Monterey Road in Baltimore City. At that location, officers observed the Honda parked and unoccupied. Officers recovered the Honda and had it secured for forensic processing.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2011 Honda Accord Crosstour during May 2011 at Honda of Turnersville in Turnersville, New Jersey.
