The owners of a 2007 Mercedes Benz C280 contacted the Jersey City Police Department to report that sometime during the night their vehicle was taken from in front of their home in Jersey City.

The Jersey City PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2007 Mercedes Benz C280.

A short while later officers from the Teaneck Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Mercedes Benz with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC’s) that are installed in their patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Mercedes to an industrial complex on River Road in Teaneck where the Mercedes was found parked behind a factory. The Mercedes was recovered with no damage.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2007 Mercedes Benz C280 in July 2009 at Hudson Nissan, Jersey City, New Jersey.
