The owner of this Honda Accord contacted the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department and reported that their vehicle had been stolen.  A name of a possible suspect was given to the deputies. The deputies verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

Within less than 20 minutes from the activation, deputies from the Apple Town Station picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Honda to a vacant residence located near Seneca and Apple Valley and recovered the Honda Accord. The suspect was located and arrested. The Honda was later released to the victim.

The LoJack® Stolen Vehicle Recovery System was installed in this Honda in September 2007.
