The owner of a 2013 Ford Fusion contacted the Norfolk Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from the public street in front of their home in Norfolk, Virginia.
The Norfolk PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2013 Ford Fusion.
A short while later, officers from the Norfolk PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the LoJack® System installed on the stolen 2013 Ford Fusion on the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) installed in their patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Ford to the 800 block W. 31st Street in Norfolk, Virginia. The Ford was located along with two theft suspects at this location. Officers recovered the stolen 2013 Ford Fusion and arrested the suspects.
The LoJack® System was installed in the 2013 Ford Fusion during June 2013.
