During the morning the owners of a 2005 Ford F350 discovered their truck stolen. They immediately called the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department who verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford Pickup.

Only eight minutes later officers with the Las Vegas Police Department’s “Downtown Area Command” began picking up the silent LoJack signal from the Ford truck with their LoJack Police Tracking Computers installed in their patrol cars.

The officers tracked the Ford to the 1200 block of S. Lamb Boulevard near East Charleston.  The Ford reportedly intact had been abandoned by the suspect(s); and was located only 36 minutes after the officers first picked up the silent LoJack signal.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford on October 2007.
