This Honda Civic was stolen sometime during the night from the owner’s residence.  When the owner discovered it missing the theft was reported to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office who verified the information and entered the VIN into the NCIC stolen vehicle database.  This routine police action automatically activated the LoJack system concealed in the Honda.

A little over one hour later, the Salem Police Department received the silent LoJack signal coming from the stolen Honda on the LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) in their patrol cars.  From the directional and audio cues on the PTC, the Honda was tracked to 36th Avenue NE & Bell Road NE where it was found abandoned and undamaged. The current owner was not aware the Honda was equipped with LoJack.

The LoJack® Stolen Vehicle Recovery System was installed in this Honda in October of 1999.
