This Cadillac was parked inside a repair shop on Birdsdale Avenue in Gresham with the keys in it.  Thieves entered the building during the night and took the Cadillac. When the burglary and vehicle theft were discovered the next morning, it was reported to the Gresham Police Bureau.  They verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Cadillac.

That same afternoon, Gresham and Fairview Police officers picked up the silent LoJack signal from the Cadillac with the LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to NW 16th Street where the Cadillac was located abandoned with minor damage to the grill.

The LoJack® System was installed in this Cadillac in February of 2000.
