This Nissan Xterra was left unattended and warming up in the apartment complex parking lot in SeaTac.  An opportunistic thief got in the Nissan and drove off.  When the theft was discovered, it was reported to the King County Sheriff’s Office.  The report was verified and they entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Nissan.

Later that same morning, the Des Moines Police Department officers picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Nissan on the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

The Nissan was tracked to the 3600 block of South 276th Street where it was located abandoned and undamaged.  The Nissan was returned to the owner.  The current owner was not aware the car was equipped with LoJack.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Nissan in November of 2004.
