The owners of a 2002 Saturn contacted the Oxnard Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen.

The police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Saturn.

Thirty (30) minutes later, patrol officers from the Oxnard PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Saturn with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are that are installed in patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Saturn to the area of Rosewood and “H” Street. The Saturn was in a parking lot. The officers made contact with the suspect inside the Saturn and took the suspect into custody for auto theft related charges without incident.

The Saturn was released to the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Saturn in August 2001.
