This Lincoln was stolen from the owner’s residence on Monroe Court near Salem.  When the owner returned to her residence and discovered the Lincoln missing the theft was reported stolen.  The Marion County Sheriff’s Office verified the information and entered the Lincoln into the NCIC stolen vehicle database.  This routine police action automatically activated the LoJack® system concealed in the Lincoln.

Later that evening, Salem Police officers received the silent LoJack signal transmitting from the stolen Lincoln on the LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) in their patrol cars.  From the directional and audio cues on the PTC, the signal was tracked to a mobile home park where the Lincoln was located in a driveway.  Another vehicle, a 1991 Honda Accord, was parked there and also identified as stolen from Salem.  Both cars were impounded.

The LoJack® Stolen Vehicle Recovery System was installed in this Lincoln in April of 2002.
