A contractor who had rented a 2013 John Deer Loader contacted the Corona Police Department and reported that vehicle had been stolen from his construction site. The officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the John Deer Loader.

A short while later officers and deputies from several local agencies picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen loader with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the John Deer Loader to another construction site where apparently the loader had been taken to and used unlawfully.  The undamaged John Deer was released to the reporting person.  Investigation continues as to who had stolen the John Deer.

The LoJack® Stolen Vehicle Recovery System was installed in the John Deer 210 K in April, 2013.
