The owner of this Mazda contacted the Riverside Sheriff’s Office and reported that vehicle had been stolen. The officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Mazda.

Within less than 15 minutes from the activation, Riverside PD aviation officers as well as ground units  picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Mazda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the vehicle to the area of Arlington and Murray where the vehicle was located. No suspects were seen and no damage was noted on the vehicle.  It was released in the field to the victim.

The LoJack® Stolen Vehicle Recovery System was installed in this Mazda in May 2014.
