The owners of a 2009 Hyundai Accent contacted Pueblo PD to report that their vehicle was stolen.  An officer verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Hyundai.

Nineteen minutes later officers with Pueblo PD were picking up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Accent with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, officers tracked the vehicle to the 1200 block of Bohmen Avenue and located the vehicle parked and unoccupied.  The car was recovered for the safe return to the owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Hyundai Accent in January 2009.
